| Topless
women grace most the beaches of Europe and the Caribbean, but seldom do
you find toplessness in the U.S. One of our missions at The Nude Review
is to foster a sense of acceptance of toplessness and nudity on
America's beaches and lakes (it would greatly diminish traffic across
the Atlantic if toplessness became common on our beaches).
What can you do to help? Ideally, if you are a women, you will decide to confront local laws against nudity or toplessness and bare your breasts in public, wherever and whenever men feel comfortable doing so. Why not? In most, if not every, case where local ordinances were challenged by daring women and teens, the outcomes resulted in no criminal charges, and in some cases were decided in the favor of toplessness for women. Of course, we can't endorse criminality, but we do feel it is a crime to outlaw toplessness. Life is short, and we urgently wish the same freedoms for men as for women (including fair salaries and equality in all other areas). Toplessness will come to be generally accepted in the U.S. It is simply a matter of time. The more women who are encouraged by their mates to enjoy topless freedom, the sooner it will happen.
