nudism
& The Nude Review's nudism pages are specifically focused in two areas: "sensual" nudism, which explores health and related issues regarding "body freedom," and nudism as an ideal. European attitudes towards nudism are well known, from teen nudists to nudist camps for all ages. Nudism isn't necessarily a lifestyle, but a matter of preference. Some activities are simply more fun when done in the nude (swimming, baking in the sauna, steam room, sunbathing, whatever). The Nude Review celebrates nudists and nudism in all of its bare glory with crisp, genuine nudist photography. These photographs feature individuals (not models) enjoying themselves as nature intended—without hang-ups. We hope you enjoy them. As you'll note, people have been enjoying the benefits of nudism for centuries (note the evidence from some of our vintage family nudist photography). It's never too late to start.

nudists & nudism
If you've landed on this page, chances are you've already visited scores of others doing searches for information on "nudism," "naturism," "nudist life," etc. As you've found, information is abundant, opinion on the subject highly varied, with pictorial representation all over the place, from low-brow lewd to brilliantly and often strangely exotic. So where are you now? The Nude Review's "a nudist magazine on the web" is intended to illustrate the type of nudism one encounters primarily in Europe, where public beaches and select urban parks permit total nudity, where communal nude baths and saunas are often coed, where the concept of "social nudity" first began early last century. We incorporate (pictorially) trends in America reflecting these European attitudes to illustrate the look of pure nudism in the U.S., in homes, clubs and areas where public nudity has won the right to existence. You may be surprised to learn the practice of nudism (which is essentially any "nude" activity in mixed company of a non-sexual nature) is fairly common. Above and beyond the general appeal of nudism as a liberating social construct, we celebrate the body human. A nudist doesn't need to be standing near a brook or in an open field to qualify as ideologically pure in their pursuit of "free body culture," as the movement has been called. A nude woman lying on her bed being freely admired by the camera is no less nude or pure--celebrating the beauty of the human body, and the freedom to be nude in mixed social settings or all alone in the forest is the freedom we seek to foster. In our opinion, pictures say it best. |
