FKK Style Family Nudism
Nudism & Water Go Well Together
MOST ACTIVITES AT FAMILY NUDIST RESORTS EVOLVE AROUND WATER. WHY WEAR A SUIT?
This may just be asking the obvious but I'll go ahead anyway: Why would anyone wear a bathing suit to swim? Getting out of the water with clammy, cold, chaffing swimsuit just isn't any fun. That goes for all ages. When we were kids our parents let us run around naked in the sprinkler. Why should that change when we get older?
The answer, of course, involves Western attitudes toward nudity in mixed gender social situations. Some early thinkers in the FKK nudist movement considered that nonsense, as it only made children and teens feel ashamed of their bodies. Much better, they thought, that teens especially proceed through adolescence feeling pride over their changing bodies, not shame. In mixed gender company - teens socializing with other naked teens of both sexes - boys and girls become acclimated to their gender differences. Several layers of mystery are removed and they'll approach their burgeoning sexuality in a mature fashion, and much more capable of dealing with their emotions.
Arguments against families socializing nude (the FKK way) have some valid points. A mature male might not the mental hygiene to be a "social nudist" and use the activity for his own gratification. But that's true on textile beaches as well. Both nude and textile beaches have to deal with this problem (the "lurkers"). I've been on nudist beaches when they appear, and I've seen women respond by putting on their suits to end the show.
In family nudist environments the male lurkers quickly don't feel at home and leave. We're not saying there's anything wrong with appreciating young feminine beauty. Au contraire, as the French say. Teens in their prime are beautiful and appreciating them is only natural, but with discretion and respect. FKK Family Pools
