Defined
It Means Getting Naked
We paint nudism with a broad brush (hence the four formats) to capture the entire spirit fueling our desires to "be naked" when and where we please, circumstances permitting. That includes backyards, during romps in the woods, in meadows and fields, or simply lounging in the rec room. These first impulses for communal nudity ("let's get naked") often strike teenagers first. The ubiquity of digital cameras offers proof.

Nudist House: Poolside nudity in the suburbs is becoming sort of the norm in many households, putting a pleasant spin on mortgages under
water. "Back-yard skinny dipping" searches on the Web is a top
100 phrase and it's no wonder. Somehow teens taking nude dips in the
family pool is a very appealing subject.

Country Nudism:
As indicated below with family lake cabins, the countryside in summer
offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the elements nude. The swimming
holes, ponds and lakes offer the perfect respite for heat and humidity,
and beckon spur-of-the-moment impulses to strip and jump in. A twilight
dip can restore the senses and help one cool down for the humid night
ahead (thinking of you East Coast types). 
Family Lake Cabins:
In some liberated households it's okay to get naked and stay that way, a
very refreshing perspective on body freedom at home. During family
vacations in often un-air-conditioned cabins it's the norm. ("Family

Getting Naked In Public
For The First Time: You know how some forums invite you to introduce
yourself when you join? It's much more interesting if the topic is
nudism. ("Newbies")
AROUND THE WORLD
 Even
Arab Girls Are Into It: One wouldn't associate the Middle East with nudism by any stretch of the imagination. But in fact, several Egyptian resorts now cater to European sun-seekers and permit topless sunbathing (a near must for Europeans) along the Gulf of
Aqaba. Further up the coast where Israel sneaks in a bit of coastline in Eilat you'll also find that hedonists make nudity a big part of their stay there, often camping right on the beach.
It was there that I noticed, in the mix of tourists and "locals," that Arab teenagers also partook of the minimalist nudist lifestyle. In particular, noticing Arab girls sunning nude was startling. Knowing many Arabs keep to strict interpretations of the Koran and subsequent doctrines and cultural beliefs relating to the role of women in society, to see a few of their women starkers was breathtaking, to say the least.
Many don't realize that Arabs and Israelis live peaceably and respectfully together with Israel's borders. Westernized Israel is bound to influence indigenous Arab teens, and together with their exposure to Western European hedonism, I suppose seeing "nudist Arabs" should not be a total surprise.
Eilat is a wonderful combination of sea of sand, where desert meets a tongue of the Red Sea, offering bountiful diving experiences or just laid-back baring all to the intense beat of the sun. At dusk a nearly mystical vibe sets in, turning the distance mountains a burnt orange before the sun skips into the night to reveal a dazzling array of stars, the same views that stunned travelers in ages past.
Standing naked in the furnace winds of the desert with fellow travelers today offers its own mysticism, which I heartfully endorse.
